Imposing Customized Postcards
Q: I have a 210 page pdf file, a postcard job that is personalized. Page 1 is the front of the postcard, page 2 is the back, so on and so on.
What I need is for the fronts (pages 1 and 3, 2 and 4, etc) to be on a two up page together, and pages 2 and 4 to be the next page, as these are the respective backups.
A: Please, see a step-by-step guide below.
For example, you have a document with 8 postcards. First page is a front of the first postcard, second page is a back. And so on, like on the image below:

Let's load this document to Imposition Wizard. Depending on the size of pages in source document and the size of target sheet, you may see something like this.

Now you need to adjust the size of pages on the sheet (using the "Sheet" page), so the pages took all space on the sheet. You should see the following:

By default Imposition Wizard uses Step and Repeat mode, so each sheet has two copies of each page. Now go to the "Layout" page and switch layout mode to "Cut Stack".

Actually, that's all. You may now print the document, cut it in half and put the first stack on top of the next one. However, as you've asked to have pages 1 and 3 on the first sheet, there is another method. Go to the "Layout" page and switch layout mode to "N-Up". Imposition Wizard will rearrange pages like on the image below:

Now we need to change the order of pages on the sheet. To do that, go to the "Page reordering" tab and switch to the "Shuffle pages" mode. Leave number of pages in group to 4, and enter "1 3 2 4" to the field below.

Now you have exactly what you have asked for. Is it easy?
